The S-21 (Security Prison 21) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where an estimated 17,000 people were imprisoned, tortured and killed by the Khmer Rouge regime between 1975 and 1979. Today this notorious detention center is open for visitors as the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
